Explained Honestly

Root Canals, Without the Dread

01

Why it hurts

Inside every tooth runs a narrow channel of living tissue. When decay or trauma reaches it, inflammation builds pressure inside a space that can't expand — and that pressure registers as serious pain.

02

What we do

The inflamed tissue is removed, the canal system is disinfected under up to 14x magnification, and the space is sealed against future bacteria. The whole visit usually takes 60 to 90 minutes.

03

What you keep

Your own tooth. Nothing functions quite like the real thing, and a well-done root canal lets you keep it — often for the rest of your life.

One Office, Worth the Short Drive

Root Canal Care, City by City

Our single office at 600 NW Gilman Blvd in Issaquah sits at the crossroads of I-90 and the Eastside — roughly 15 to 30 minutes from most of the communities we serve, with free parking at the door and none of the downtown hassle. Choose your city for local details, drive times, and directions.

Specialist vs. Generalist

Why Dentists Across the Region Refer Here

Both specialists and general dentists can perform a root canal. The difference is training, technology, and repetition — and it shows up in success rates:

Evergreen EndodonticsTypical General Office
TrainingTwo to three additional years of residency doing nothing but endodonticsDental school covers root canals briefly among many other topics
VolumeOver ten thousand completed root canals — multiple every single dayA handful of root canals a month, between fillings and crowns
MagnificationEvery case under a surgical microscope at up to 14x powerMost work with loupes or the naked eye
Imaging3D cone-beam scan in-house, reviewed with you on the spotTwo-dimensional X-rays only in most offices

Your Visit

Three Steps to Out of Pain

Most visits run about an hour, start to relief.

1

Pinpoint the Problem

Digital X-rays and, when needed, a 3D scan show exactly which tooth is infected and why.

2

Agree on the Plan

Options and costs in plain English, approved by you before we begin. Nothing is ever sprung on you.

3

Save the Tooth

Numb, calm, and done in about an hour for most cases — with sedation if you want it.

Questions

Root Canal FAQs

Direct answers, no sales pitch.

Why does one office serve 40 cities?

Because endodontic specialists are scarce, and outcomes depend on the specialist, not the ZIP code. Our Issaquah office sits at the crossroads of I-90 and I-405, roughly 15 to 30 minutes from most of the communities we serve — close enough that same-day emergency care is practical from any of them.

Does a root canal hurt?

With modern anesthesia and optional sedation, most patients feel pressure but not pain. The infection is what hurts — the procedure is what makes it stop, and most people feel relief the same day.

How much does a root canal cost?

In-network contracted rates are about $800 for a front tooth, $1,000 for a premolar, and $1,300 for a molar. With benefits remaining, most insured patients pay $160–$655 out of pocket. We verify your benefits and review all costs with you before treatment begins.

Do I need a referral from my dentist?

No referral is required — call or book online directly. Many patients are referred by their general dentist, and we coordinate closely with them either way, including a same-day treatment report back to their office.

What sedation options do you offer?

Three levels: nitrous oxide, oral sedation, and IV sedation — matched to your anxiety level and medical history. Roughly a third of our patients arrive anxious, and every one of them has options.

How quickly can I be seen for an emergency?

True emergencies — severe pain, swelling, trauma — are seen the same day or next business day. We reserve emergency slots every business day. Call as early as you can and tell us what is happening.
